1987 -  published a book called  Human Resource Development Handbook,  incorporating Competency Based Training and Systems Approach.

1998 – co-authored and submitted a paper with Dr K.J.  Duffy,  What are the Impacts of Innovative/Modern Information Technologies for Understanding Business Organisations?   From Chaos to Newton,  Organizational Dynamics,  American Management Association

COMPETENCIES:

       Computer and IT skills -  Ability to touch type and fully conversant with Microsoft Word and use basic processes of Excel, use and send electronic documentation via internal networks and the internet.

·      Writing skills -  Publish and write training materials,  write policy documents for students and lecturers, do all my own correspondence.  Developed Student and Lecturers Handbooks for various courses.

·      Needs analysis skills -  Ability to use various methods to analyse training needs at a macro and micro level.

·      Presentation skills -  Present to large and small groups but especially to small groups on train the trainer programmes.

·      Facilitation skills -  Facilitate various courses and workshops in the fields of education and training and am able to apply OBE techniques. Conversant with SAQA regulations and requirements re unit standards, learnerships, assessment, RPL etc.

·      Develop learning materials - Write learning materials such as training modules,  case studies and exercises.  Write AV scripts for slide and video programmes.  Shoot and edit video programmes.

·      Assessment & Moderation skills -  Use various techniques to design and implement assessment of learning for both practical and theoretical learning.

Certified and licensed as Assessors, ANEL 4839  and certified as a Moderator, certificate number AC/03/M115

Have extensive experience of RPL assessment for Tiger Brands and SA Breweries.

      Management and administration skills -  Managed and administered the whole training cycle for train the trainer  
    programmes, managed the academic and operational aspects of the ABP and MBA  and BBA programmes at
    Technikon Natal.   Directly supervised 7 staff members and numerous part-time lecturers regarding delivery of various
    education and training programmes for various small and large organisations/ companies.
